Environmentally-Friendly Custom Accent Furniture
Cocopa cares about our world and our environment, and wants to preserve it for your great-grandchildren. We are committed to improving indoor air quality, using sustainable wood and steel products, and powering our production studio with clean, renewable energy.
Improving Indoor Air Quality
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports that the air in new homes can be ten times more polluted than outdoor air due to offgassing of formaldehyde and other potentially carcinogenic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) found in common building materials such as paint, stain, plywood and particleboard adhesives. Cocopa manufactures all of our products with formaldehyde-free adhesives and low-VOC paints and finishes to improve the air quality in your home.
Using Sustainable and Recycled Materials
Since 1995, Cocopa has featured rustic vintage reclaimed pine from barns and farmhouses in America's heartland, and when necessary we now complement these materials with FSC and SFI certified wood products harvested from sustainable forests. Our bases and hardware are locally hand-forged from LEED compliant steel, the country's most widely recycled material. About 88% of the steel we use is recycled, and we in turn recycle nearly 100% of our own scrap.
Supporting Clean Renewable Energy
Cocopa furniture is built to last lifetimes, and built for life to last.
